24100-3340 RHC62 Turbocharger for Hino H07CT Engine

The 24100-3340 RHC62 turbocharger is used with Hino H07CT and H07C-TD diesel engines, including Hitachi EX220-5 and EX230-5 excavator applications. Related identification numbers include 24100-3340A, VA240084, VB240084, VC240084, VD240084, S1760-E0570 and 6T-614.

For replacement orders, the old turbocharger tag is the most useful starting point. If your removed unit shows 24100-3340, 24100-3340A or VA240084-series identification, send the tag photo together with the machine and engine information so the housing and connection layout can be checked before quotation.

Why EX220-5 Model Information Alone Is Not Enough

Hitachi excavators from similar model families can use different engines and turbocharger configurations. An EX220-series machine name by itself does not confirm that 24100-3340 is the correct replacement.

Check that the machine uses a Hino H07CT or H07C-TD engine, then compare the compressor housing direction, turbine housing, exhaust flange and oil connections with the removed turbocharger. This is especially important on older excavators that may have had engine or turbocharger replacements during previous repairs.

Before Installing a 24100-3340 Replacement Turbocharger

A failed turbocharger can be the result of another engine or lubrication problem rather than the turbo itself. Before installing the replacement, inspect the oil feed and return lines, engine oil and filter, air filter, intake piping and exhaust connections.

If the previous turbo has damaged compressor or turbine blades, also check the intake and exhaust passages for remaining debris. The replacement turbocharger should be lubricated with clean engine oil before the first start according to normal turbo installation practice.

What to Send for Fitment Confirmation

• Clear photo of the old turbocharger tag or stamped number.

• Hitachi machine model and Hino engine model.

• Compressor and turbine housing photos from both sides.

• Exhaust mounting flange and compressor outlet direction.

• Oil inlet and oil return positions if the old identification tag is missing.
