22U-26-21540 is a 19-tooth planetary gear used in the second reduction stage of the swing gearbox on Komatsu PC200-7 and PC200LC-7 excavators. Four planetary gears are installed around the second-stage carrier to transmit load between the sun gear and ring gear.

This part should be identified by the OEM number, 19T gear configuration and original swing reducer layout. Similar planetary gears can appear in other stages of the same gearbox, so tooth count and installation position should be checked before replacement.

Wear and Replacement Checks

Inspect the 19T gear teeth for pitting, chipped edges, abnormal contact marks and uneven wear. Also check the gear bore, needle bearing surface and carrier pin condition for scoring or excessive clearance.

When one planetary gear is badly damaged, inspect the other gears in the same second-stage set together with the carrier, sun gear and ring gear. Metal contamination inside the reducer can quickly damage newly installed parts.
