22U-26-21510 is a 17-tooth first-stage sun gear used in the swing reduction gearbox of Komatsu PC200-7 and PC200LC-7 excavators. It forms part of the first planetary reduction stage and transfers input torque into the matching planetary gear set.

This part should be identified by the OEM number, 17T gear configuration and the original swing reducer arrangement. PC200-series excavators use several different swing gearbox components, so machine model alone should not be used for final parts identification.

What to Check During Replacement

Inspect the 17T gear teeth for pitting, chipped edges, abnormal polishing and uneven wear. Damage concentrated on one side of the tooth surface may indicate excessive clearance, bearing wear or misalignment elsewhere in the first-stage planetary assembly.

The mating planetary gears, carrier pins, bearings and lubrication condition should also be inspected before installing a new sun gear, especially when metallic debris is present in the swing gearbox oil.

PC200-7 Swing Gearbox Configuration

22U-26-21510 is the first-stage sun gear in the applicable PC200-7 swing reduction assembly. It is a different component from the second-stage sun gear used farther through the reduction train and the two parts should not be interchanged.
