Product Description
This crankshaft page has been corrected from an earlier PC200-8 reference. Current supplier reference data points more strongly toward older Komatsu S6D95L-series applications, so PC200-8 should not be used as the main fitment unless it is confirmed by the original parts book, engine plate, old crankshaft marking or machine serial number.
For crankshaft replacement, the machine model alone is not enough. The most reliable confirmation method is to compare the original part number, engine model, main journal size, rod journal size, gear-end structure and flywheel-end structure before ordering.
Original part number: Check the old crankshaft marking, parts book reference or supplier label before confirming the order.
Engine plate: Confirm the actual engine model on the machine instead of relying only on the excavator model.
Journal measurement: Measure the main journal and rod journal diameter, and check whether the crankshaft is standard size or has been reground.
Gear-end structure: Compare the timing gear side, keyway, oil passage and mounting structure with the old crankshaft.
Flywheel-end structure: Check the bolt pattern, flange shape and flywheel-side dimensions before shipment.
Journal scoring: Deep scratches, heat marks or uneven wear on the main journal or rod journal may indicate that the crankshaft is no longer suitable for reuse.
Bearing failure: Damaged main bearings or connecting rod bearings can quickly damage the crankshaft surface and affect engine stability.
Low oil pressure: Poor lubrication can damage the crankshaft, bearings, oil pump and other rotating engine parts.
Abnormal engine noise: Heavy knocking, metallic noise or vibration should be checked before the machine returns to work.
Engine overhaul: During an engine rebuild, the crankshaft should be measured and inspected together with the bearing set and lubrication system.
Clean the engine block, oil passages and bearing seats before installing the crankshaft.
Use the machine-specific service manual for torque values, bearing clearance and assembly sequence.
Check main bearings, connecting rod bearings and thrust bearings before final assembly.
Inspect the oil pump, oil pickup tube and oil filter if the previous failure was related to low oil pressure or oil contamination.
After installation, confirm oil pressure, engine noise and initial running condition before returning the machine to heavy-duty operation.
