Installation & Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure proper function and validate your 6-month warranty, please follow these critical installation steps:

Check the Case Drain Line (CRITICAL): Before operating the new 20Y-27-00202 travel motor, you must inspect and clean the case drain line. Komatsu motors are highly sensitive to back-pressure. Ensure back-pressure is strictly under 0.2 MPa. A blocked drain line will instantly blow the main shaft seal and void the warranty.

Motor Case Pre-filling: Prior to starting the engine, fill the hydraulic motor case with clean hydraulic oil through the drain port. Dry starting will cause immediate damage to the internal piston group.

Gearbox Lubrication: The planetary reduction section requires standard gear oil (SAE 90 or 80W-90, API GL-4/GL-5). Fill the gearbox until the oil reaches the level of the horizontal fill plug. Do not overfill.

Track Tension: After installing the new drive, ensure your track tension is correctly adjusted according to the Komatsu manual. Overtightened tracks will cause premature wear on the final drive bearings.
