Product Description
The 165-6634 / 1656634 coolant level sensor is used to monitor coolant or water in Caterpillar engine expansion tank applications. It provides a level signal to the monitoring system, helping the operator respond to a low-coolant condition before continued operation causes overheating or equipment downtime.
Caterpillar catalog references cover generator sets, marine engines, industrial engines and heavy-equipment installations. The correct sensor should be confirmed by the original part number, connector configuration and machine or engine serial number.
Additional equipment references include D5N track-type tractors, R1600 and R2900 load-haul-dump machines, and 5130 or 5230 mining excavators. Actual application can vary between production and wiring arrangements.
The 111-3794 number is an earlier coolant level sensor reference. Some C7 and 980G II parts records direct field replacement to 239-9957, but this does not mean the numbers are universally interchangeable. Connector and serial-number confirmation is required before substitution.
