Product Description
4649049 is a boom hydraulic cylinder seal kit for selected Hitachi ZAXIS excavators. The applicable cylinder configuration uses a 100 mm rod and 145 mm bore, with the same seal kit used for left-hand and right-hand boom cylinders.
The kit is intended for hydraulic cylinder resealing during boom cylinder overhaul. Confirm the original part number and cylinder configuration before ordering.
4649049 is documented for Hitachi applications including ZX330-3, ZX330-5G, ZX330LC-5G, ZX350-3-AMS, ZX350H-3, ZX350H-5G, ZX350K-3, ZX350K-5G, ZX350LC-3, ZX350LCH-5G, ZX350LCK-5G, ZX360LC-3 and ZX400W-3.
For ZX330-3 and related configurations, boom cylinder groups include 4628636 for the right-hand cylinder and 4628637 for the left-hand cylinder. These are cylinder assembly numbers and are not cross references for 4649049.
Inspect the 100 mm piston rod for scoring, corrosion and chrome damage, and check the 145 mm cylinder bore, piston, gland and seal grooves before installing the new seal kit.
Clean all components thoroughly and install each seal in the correct position and direction. Hydraulic contamination or damaged cylinder surfaces should be corrected before the rebuilt cylinder returns to service.
