4379260 Boom Cylinder Seal Kit

4379260 is a boom hydraulic cylinder seal kit for selected Hitachi EX100-5, EX100-5E and EX110-5 excavators. The applicable cylinder configuration uses a 70 mm rod and 95 mm bore.

The kit is used when rebuilding a leaking or worn boom cylinder. Confirm the original 4379260 number and cylinder configuration before ordering, as related Hitachi machines use different seal kits for the arm and bucket cylinders.

Hitachi EX100-5 and EX110-5 Fitment

4379260 is documented for boom cylinder applications on Hitachi EX100-5, EX100-5E and EX110-5 machines. Depending on the machine configuration, related boom cylinder groups include 4312228, 4312229, 4372542 and 4372544. These cylinder numbers identify applicable assemblies and are not cross references for the seal kit.

Cylinder Rebuild Checks

Inspect the 70 mm piston rod for scoring, corrosion and chrome damage, and check the 95 mm bore, gland, piston and seal grooves before fitting the new seals.

Clean all components thoroughly and install each seal and backup ring in the correct direction. Surface damage or hydraulic contamination should be corrected before the rebuilt cylinder returns to service.
