Product Description
31Y1-29930 is a boom hydraulic cylinder seal kit for selected Hyundai excavators. The applicable cylinder configuration uses a 100 mm rod and 140 mm bore, with the kit used for boom cylinder resealing during hydraulic cylinder overhaul.
The same kit is used with left-hand and right-hand boom cylinder configurations. Confirm the original part number and cylinder application before ordering.
Confirmed applications include Hyundai R290LC-9, R290LC-9MH, R300LC-9A, R300LC-9S, R300LC-9SH, R330LC-9SH and HX300L excavators.
Related boom cylinder assemblies include 31Q8-50110 for the left-hand cylinder and 31Q8-50120 for the right-hand cylinder. These cylinder assembly numbers are application references, not cross references for 31Y1-29930.
Before installing the new seal kit, inspect the 100 mm piston rod for scoring, corrosion and chrome damage. Check the 140 mm bore, piston, gland and seal grooves for wear that could cause premature leakage.
Clean all components carefully and install each seal in the correct position and direction. Cylinder surface damage and hydraulic contamination should be corrected before returning the rebuilt cylinder to service.
