Product Description
The 292-3751 fuel transfer pump delivers pressurized diesel fuel from the tank to the engine fuel injection system. It is used in selected Caterpillar C6.6 engine applications installed in D-series excavators.
The pump features a 17-tooth external spur gear and M12 inlet and outlet ports. Its gear-driven design helps maintain a continuous fuel supply during engine starting and operation.

A worn or damaged fuel transfer pump may be unable to maintain the fuel flow and pressure required by the engine injection system. This can affect engine starting, idling and performance under load.
Common signs of fuel transfer pump failure include:
Hard or delayed engine starting
Low or unstable fuel pressure
Irregular engine idling
Engine hesitation during acceleration
Reduced power under heavy load
Intermittent engine shutdown
Fuel leakage around the pump body or ports
Abnormal mechanical noise from the pump area
